Two-stage filtration system
Fase 1: Ultra-filtratie
The first filtration stage consists of a replaceable ultra-filtration element that purifies up to 5,000 liters of water from bacteria, protozoa, microplastics and viruses. Thanks to built-in FailSafe technology, the filter stops automatically once it has reached its maximum capacity. Replacing the filter element afterwards is easy.
Fase 2: Actieve koolfiltratie
The second filter step includes an interchangeable activated carbon filter that reduces pesticides, chemicals and other organic matter. This filter improves the smell and taste of the water, but is not necessary for microbiological purification. It is especially recommended for water containing chlorine or pesticides.
How does it work?
Insert the Scavenger Hose (intake hose) into a water source such as a stream or jerry can and pump the water through the Wayfarer. The water will first flow through the ultra-filtration element and then through the activated carbon filter, before being collected as purified water into a bottle, pan or other container via the outlet hose.
